Meaning of Single (One) Tick On Whatsapp Group Chat: It is visible when the message is sent from your end and is on the Whatsapp Server. But every group member has not received the message on their smartphone. This case is there when the all of the end users are not connected to the internet connection. As soon as the device gets internet connection the message which was sent by you to server will be delivered to the user.
Meaning of Double Tick On Whatsapp group chat: When the Whatsapp chat sent by you reaches every other group member of the group, the single tick becomes double tick on the chat. This means that the message has reached the end users. But this does not confirm the read receipt of the message.

Whenever you see single tick, you can confirm that some users are still pending to receive the message on their device. The single tick will also provide you the information of the users who have got the message and who are waiting for it. For knowing this iPhone and Android have different ways to proceed.
On iPhone, just swipe left the particular text message and you will see the segregated information. On Android Chats, you have to long press the message and then click on the “i” button. This will tell you the message information.
